17.1

17.1 is closer than you may think. In just a few weeks our gym is going to be filled  with people warming up and preparing for their heats. In a few weeks you’ll feel the nerves before the clock counts down from 10 shortly followed by the thrill of pushing yourself further than you thought capable. In a few weeks all of our classes will come together every Saturday for 5 workouts. 

But first we have to prepare!

The foundation must be nutrition. The foundation must be nutrition! You can’t  expect an hour workout a day to erase an entire day’s worth of bad food choices. Start simple: Make sure you are eating enough protein. Eat plenty of veggies and healthy fats. If you want to get more technical you can look into your macronutrients. There’s a lot of free information out there if you do a search for macros. Or you could get even more specific and find a meal plan that works solely for you. Working against Gravity has helped a ton of people reach their fitness goals and is an option if you need specific help. 

Whatever you do, take that first step to commit towards a change and being disciplined with that change. Stay disciplined and before you know it new habits will have formed and you will be feeling better than you ever have and moving better throughout your workouts.
