This is a very hard announcement for me to make but it’s one I’ve been thinking about for some time now. CrossFit Las Cruces will be closing for good on 12/28. We will not be following you guys on your fitness path for the coming new year.
I’ve given so much to make the gym a place that everyone enjoys, for the past 8 years. In doing so I’ve given up some other privileges and opportunities, which I’ve been ok with. One of my go to sayings for these 8 years has been “I can’t, I have the gym”.
But now I can say I’m ready to dedicate my focus on building other aspects in my life. It’s time for me to focus on being a better Dad, a better Lieutenant and it’s time to focus on my own health.
The hardest part is going to be leaving the amazing people that we have here at CFLC. I love being around all of you and have learned so much from the members. I know this comes as a shock to all of you and I know many of you will be upset about the gym closing. Please know that this is not easy for me. The gym has been a very personal very important aspect in my life for so long now. But again, I need to change my focus to other responsibilities in my life.
It’s been a great ride. Seeing all of the relationships that were built there at CFLC and seeing the positive influence CFLC had on so many lives. I hope we can use these last two weeks as a time to enjoy the gym and all that it’s done and then close the doors with one final big workout.
